Lane Hoffart joined the newsroom as an Anchor/Videographer/Reporter at Stingray in June of 2024 after completing his broadcast training at Western Academy in Saskatoon. Lane was inspired to get into broadcasting after being told he had a good radio voice one too many times.

Lane grew up in the small town of Bengough, Saskatchewan and developed his speaking and writing skills by playing in a local rock band called Radioactive Love with three of his closest friends and being the MC at every school event. Anyone who has ever been in a room with Lane for more than 10 seconds will tell you that there is never a quiet moment with him, he’s always talking!

When he’s not out shooting stories, Lane enjoys playing his guitars, going for long drives in his Mustang, watching the Edmonton Oilers, and listening to music.
